Shane F. WeirMr. Weir qualified as a solicitor, barrister and notary public in Canada in 1978. He established the firm in March 1985. He was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and in Hong Kong in 1992. He has lectured in both Canada and Hong Kong at university level. He currently practises in commercial, property and banking law with an emphasis on securities. Mr. Weir is an active member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, The Law Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Computer Society. He is also Hong Kong's national president of the World Jurist Association and in addition to acting as legal adviser for numerous corporations and associations in Hong Kong and abroad, he also sits in the Executive Committee of the Management and Technology Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong, the IT Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the IT Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Cheonghar WongMs Wong was born and educated in the United Kingdom and has been practising in Hong Kong since 1987. Prior to joining Weir & Associates, Ms Wong was, for a period of six years, with one of the largest law firms in Asia.
